1. Who we are

LawCheck.co.uk is operated by EIGHTFINITY LTD ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What data we collect

• Calculator inputs: the figures you enter into our calculators (e.g. age, weekly pay) are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to us or stored.
• Contact data: if you email us, we hold your email address and message content to respond to you.
• Usage data: anonymised analytics (pages visited, approximate location) if you accept analytics cookies.

3. How we use it

Solely to respond to enquiries you send us, and to understand aggregate site usage so we can improve the content. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

4. Legal basis

Legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, improving the site) and consent (analytics cookies, which you can decline).

5. Data retention

Contact emails are retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the enquiry, then deleted within 12 months. Calculator inputs are never stored — they exist only in your browser session.

6. Third-party services

• Google Analytics — anonymised analytics, only loaded if you accept cookies. policies.google.com/privacy

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email info@eightfinity.net with the subject "Data Request". You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to remember your cookie preference, and optional analytics cookies only if you accept them via the banner shown on your first visit. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
